My primary intention as a birth doula is to provide emotional, physical and informational support to the laboring woman. By remaining open and present, I work to assess accurately and with sensitivity her needs moment to moment. Certified by DONA International, I have been assisting women in labor since 2005, and consider it a true privilege to work with women and their families during this transformational time in their lives.
The fee for my services is $1100 (sliding scale available), which includes two prenatal meetings, unlimited email and phone consultation, on call availability beginning two weeks before your due date, constant support during your labor and birth, guidance with initiating breastfeeding immediately after the birth, and a meeting within a week of the birth. All meetings, prenatal and postpartum, take place in your home.
Also available is the "all in one" package combining private childbirth preparation sessions and labor doula services for $1600.
